The 5 best sports bars in Amsterdam that always have the match on
Finding a good sports bar in Amsterdam shouldn’t be a mission. But honestly, we’ve had our fair share of struggles too.
We’ve squeezed into packed places with tiny TVs, waited hours just to get a drink, and missed the best parts of the game because we couldn’t see a thing.
And after all that, we’ve finally come across the bars that just nail it. These are bars with big screens, cold drinks, comfy seats, and a crowd that truly cares about the game.
So if you’re tired of settling for less, here are the best sports bars around the city.

Coco’s Outback is located in the lively Rembrandtplein. With over 30 screens showing everything from football to rugby, it proudly holds the title of the largest sports bar in Amsterdam.
But the real deal is their Cocktail Happy Hour, which runs daily from 6 PM to 8 PM. Here, you can get classic cocktails like margarita, mojito, and piña colada for just €10.
They also have this inviting terrace ideal for kicking back before the game. It has a welcoming atmosphere with an unmistakable Aussie vibe.
Pro Tip:
Don’t miss their monthly themed pub quiz nights, where you can win some great prizes. The quizzes welcome teams of up to five, and are a fantastic way to test your trivia skills.
2. Satellite Sports Cafe

Address: Leidseplein 11, 1017 PS

Hours: Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 AM | Friday to Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 AM
Pricing: €
What we like most about Satellite Sports Cafe is how it combines mouthwatering comfort food with nonstop sports action.
With stadium-style stairs, everyone gets a great view of the action. And if that’s not enough, go to the recently expanded building next door on Korte Leidsedwarsstraat. Also owned by Satellite, this spacious extension offers the same crowd-favourite menu and lively sports vibe.
Their extensive food menu is available from breakfast to late-night dinner. Their drinks include tequila shots, Heineken pitchers, and Guinness pints.
But our favourite is their €21.95 All-You-Can-Eat Spareribs. The ribs come slathered in your choice of sauce (BBQ, spicy, or garlic) and are served hot and fast.
Pro Tip:
Trust us when we say that this place gets packed. We highly recommend booking in advance if you’re coming during peak hours (especially Friday to Sunday evenings).
3. Belushi’s

Hours: Sunday to Thursday: 10:30 AM – 3:00 AM | Friday to Saturday: 10:30 AM – 4:00 AM
Pricing: €
Belushi’s is where match day meets mayhem. This high-energy spot draws in students, travellers, and die-hard fans all eager to catch the action from the Premier League, Champions League, or FIFA Club World Cup.
But it’s also more than that because Belushi’s hosts live music performances and DJ sets, especially on big nights like King’s Night. It’s where DJs spin party anthems that keep the crowd dancing into the early hours.
They also feature enticing drink deals during these events, with specials such as €2 Sourz shots and discounted Coronas. Just letting you know—this one’s my favourite deal on the whole list because it’s dirt cheap.
Pro Tip:
Be sure to sign up on their website to score student perks like 25% off food and to secure your spot on weekend match nights.
4. Regular & Jack

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM | Friday to Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Pricing: €
Regular & Jack has a stadium-style layout that’s always buzzing with your favourite live football team or catching the latest F1 race.
We arrived for the match but ended up sticking around for the Josper-grilled ribs. Seriously, they’re tender and smoky, ideal for when enjoying a great match.
They also keep things exciting with rotating craft beers and a secret cocktail menu that’s only revealed if you ask at the bar. The menu includes off-menu specials like their spicy margarita twist.
And while you’re there, take a second to admire the portraits of iconic athletes on the walls (yes, that’s Cruyff watching over you like a proud football grandpa). It’s like a mini sports shrine disguised as your new favourite hangout.
Pro Tip:
They pour a very good flat white (shoutout to Friedhats beans). If you’re a filter coffee snob, they’ve got you too. Basically, you can order anything.
5. The Butcher Social Club

Website: http://the-butcher.com/socialclub
Address: Overhoeksplein 1, 1031 KS
Contact: +31 20 215 9515
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM | Friday to Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Pricing: €
While not really a traditional sports bar, The Butcher Social Club doesn’t miss a major game. A large screen rolls down to showcase live football matches and more.
You’ll also be surrounded by retro arcade machines, Ping-Pong tables, and even a pool table while catching a big game on a giant screen. We never thought we’d be competing over pinball games in between a live match, but that’s what makes this spot so special.
Plus, there’s a 360-degree bar with DJ performances 5 nights a week. You can also chill at the waterfront terrace. It’s perfect for grabbing a Butcher’s Mule, which we recommend pairing with their messy-but-glorious burgers.
Pro Tip: Arrive in the early evening to secure a spot on the spacious terrace overlooking the IJ River. It’s a perfect setting to enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in hand.
