Burgemeester Vastgoed has been in the real estate business for over two decades, and we’ve known for a while that they’re quite skilled at it. In fact, many former clients were able to easily buy a house in Amsterdam thanks to their agents.
What we love most about this agency is its encyclopaedic knowledge of Amsterdam. If there’s a property for sale in the city, there’s a good chance Burgemeester’s agents know all about it. It’s probably why they can usually close a sale in just a matter of days.
What’s more, and this is based on experience, they specialise in getting expats settled in Amsterdam. They did it for a few people in our circle, and they’ve done it for countless others.
Unfortunately, it has become increasingly difficult to secure the firm’s services. It’s mostly because they adhere to their one client per search profile ethos. They only represent one buyer or seller at a time for a specific type of property in a given area.

Additionally, we must admit we’re happy with their website. It’s very informative and has what we believe are the most comprehensive listings of properties for sale and for rent. Even the blogs are filled with a wealth of useful information about the world of real estate.

Two of our colleagues can vouch for this go-the-extra-mile approach. They turned to this agency and found the house of their dreams in just two weeks.
Our colleagues didn’t even have to personally visit the house, as they simply participated in the Makelaars’ online property viewing. This feature isn’t unique to the agency, but it’s the best we’ve seen by far.
They attended three sessions that were all extremely detailed and well-organised. If we were clients, we’d refer friends to Makelaars simply based on these viewings.
