Contact: +31 20 774 1645

Hours: Tuesday to Saturday: 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Pricing: €€€

Restaurant Mont Blanc reminds us of an alpine cottage with elegant French style, featuring cowbells in the restroom and Savoie wines on every table.

We started our meal with a small appetiser of rhubarb and oat, then enjoyed a light marigold egg dish with sabayon. The Arctic char with beetroot, and the pigeon with confit leg were particularly good.

Be sure not to miss the forest-floor-inspired amuse bouche and the chocolate-pine dessert, which elevate the entire experience—yes, they’re that good.

Pro Tip: Menus can change monthly, so we highly suggest checking their website before making a reservation.

2. De Silveren Spiegel

Hours: Tuesday to Thursday: 6:30 AM – 11:00 PM | Friday to Saturday: 12:30 AM – 10:00 PM

Pricing: €€€

De Silveren Spiegel feels like dining in a Dutch time machine. With historical buildings outside, candlelit ambience, fancy plates, and silverware, you are instantly transported to the Golden Age—no time travel machine required.

The highlight of the menu is a Zeeland razor clam dish, topped with jalapeño, citrus, and horseradish. It’s fresh, zippy, and totally unexpected (in the best way, of course).

Each dish, from lobster in creamy bisque to veal with smoked bacon and trout in Noilly Prat sauce, feels like a love letter to Dutch tradition.

And don’t even think about skipping dessert. Even the raspberry-rhubarb finale is a perfect way to end the meal.

Pro Tip: Special menus are available, so make sure to check what’s on offer. You might just discover something new and delicious to try.

3. Ciel Bleu

Situated high above Amsterdam on the 23rd floor of the Hotel Okura, Ciel Bleu offers breathtaking views and elegant dining, earning two Michelin stars.

Chef Arjan Speelman has created a tasting menu that takes you on a culinary adventure. It includes our top favourite dishes, such as lobster with rhubarb and passion fruit, sea bass with Oscietra caviar, and wagyu with aubergine and Aleppo pepper.

One dish that people also really love is the ravioli filled with oxtail and topped with Perigord truffle. It’s rich, decadent, and might just ruin all other ravioli for you.

And for dessert, you can enjoy pistachio-cranberry nougat or a fun goat milk dessert.

Pro Tip:  The dress code leans toward business casual or smart casual. Double-check before you go!

4. Spectrum

Address: Herengracht 542, 556, 1017 CG

Contact: +31 20 718 4635

Hours: Wednesday to Saturday: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Pricing: €€€

At Spectrum, we felt like we were dining inside an edible art gallery. Located within the Waldorf Astoria, the view of the beautiful gardens by the canal really sets the mood.

One thing we really like, and it’s something most people probably don’t know, is how the chefs here get super creative with their ingredients. Like, they actually use tulip bulbs and lion’s mane mushrooms in their dishes.

You’ll find them in dishes like duck with tulip bulb or langoustine paired with that funky mushroom. It’s wild, but it totally works.

And for dessert, the sticky rice with calamansi and tarragon leaves a refreshing finish.

Pro Tip: If you’re driving, valet parking is available for €10 per hour. It’s super convenient, so you can skip the stress of finding a spot.

5. Bridges

Address: Oudezijds Voorburgwal 197, 1012 EX

Contact: +31 20 555 3560

Hours: Friday to Sunday: 1:00 PM – 12:00 AM | Monday: 6:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Pricing: €€€

If you’re looking to enjoy fine dining like never before, Bridges is the place for you. Just imagine sitting right in the middle of the kitchen—yes, that’s an interesting thing.

With their Chef’s Table experience, curated by chef Raoul Meuwese and his talented team, you won’t just watch the culinary magic happen; you’ll be a part of it.

We savoured dishes straight from the Menu de Chef. We especially enjoyed the pumpkin and eel, where the smoky flavour of the eel perfectly complemented the sweet taste of the pumpkin.

Pro Tip: Want to make your visit extra special? Consider hiring the venue privately. For quick details, it’s best to email them directly at [email protected].

6. Senses Restaurant

Website: http://www.sensesrestaurant.nl/

Address: Vijzelstraat 45, 1017 HE

Contact Details: +31 20 530 6266

Hours: Monday to Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Pricing: €€€

One thing we really like about Senses Restaurant is that it’s not your typical dinner spot. Instead of picking from a regular menu, you just choose how many courses you want—like 4, 5, or 6—and they will surprise you with each dish.

For example, the tofu with tempura and smoked trout eggs is bursting with delicious flavours. It might sound so simple, but to our surprise, it tasted like the right balance of creamy and smoky.

Senses Restaurant is also big on eco-friendliness. They use fresh, seasonal ingredients, and a significant portion of them is delivered by bike. They also strive to reduce food waste and plastic by offering a range of plant-based options.

Pro Tip:
Take advantage of the free breakfast perk. Kids under eight can eat breakfast for free in the Sweet Family Suite, and kids under 16 can do so in the Connecting Family Room.

7. Vinkeles

Website: https://www.vinkeles.com/

Address: Keizersgracht 384, 1016 GB

Contact Details: +31 20 530 2010

Operating Hours: Tuesday to Saturday: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Pricing: €€€

Vinkeles is hidden within the Dylan hotel, situated next to Amsterdam’s Keizersgracht canal.

The restaurant was once an 18th-century bakery. Its cosy interior, featuring stone and wood, looks beautiful under soft lighting. It has original ovens surrounding a peaceful courtyard too.

A notable detail that sets Vinkeles apart is the ongoing collaboration between Executive Chef Jurgen van der Zalm and his former mentor, Dennis Kuipers. They both bring classic French cooking with a clean twist.

In fact, you can really taste that balance in dishes like their veal sweetbreads with miso breadcrumbs and rich XO sauce. These are savoury and full of depth.

Pro Tip: Surprise someone special with a fine dining experience at Vinkeles by purchasing a Gift Card. Choose any amount you like or make it extra memorable by pairing it with an overnight stay at The Dylan.

8. Sinne

Media credit: sinnerestaurant

Website: http://www.restaurantsinne.nl/

Address: Ceintuurbaan 342 Huis, 1072 GP

Contact Details: +31 20 682 7290

Hours: Thursday to Friday: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Saturday to Sunday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Pricing: €€€

Sinne has a cool, modern vibe, featuring an open kitchen where you can see the chefs preparing dishes up close.

We were then greeted with a glass of champagne Lacourte, which was refreshing, and the perfect prelude to the marinated calamari and candied potatoes that followed.

You definitely don’t want to skip their wine list, just as good as the food. They’ve got everything from sparkling and alcohol-free options to white, red, and dessert wines starting at just €50.

Wrap it all up with the chocolate and passionfruit cremeux (yep, it’s Michelin-starred) and you’ll probably be coming back within a week.

Pro Tip: They get packed around 12 PM, especially on weekends, so consider swinging by earlier or later to avoid the crowd.
